My daily driver is a refurb #T480, running #Fedora #Kinoite F40.
The T480 is great value for money!
My previous laptop was a slow-but-sturdy T510, running KDE Neon.
Gotcha. Those tools work for Windows users, but tend not to work for Linux. So LVFS is how those same updates get delivered to Linux computers, if the machine’s manufacturer provides them to LVFS.

To answer my own question, I went and checked, and LVFS does provide the updates you showed for the T480.
Anyhow, good job keeping your #T480 updated!
I may have jumped to a conclusion. Is your T480 running MS Windows or GNU/Linux?
I hope that update is provided by LVFS and fwupd!
With its beige/white body and brightly-colored buttons, it reminds me of the hand-held electronic football games, and others like it, from the 70s.

Interesting. I have wondered about plural vs singular names for hashtags, ie #HashTag vs #HashTags, but I hadn’t considered that capitalization matters, except for readability.
@[email protected] @[email protected] I have fixed three laptops this way. Can confirm. 👍

I think so. You may have to install fwupd, as it may not be installed by default.
I just saw this thread where someone is troubleshooting a T480 in Arch with fwupd:
