Ich hab nur den kleinen Gurkenschein für Cornichons.
From my perspective you can’t bet both sides and still expect gains on average. Sure you can be lucky that the one bet wins more than the other loses but typically that doesn’t work if you bet on two opposite outcomes. There are no magical and safe ways to multiply money other than maybe being super rich and already too big to fail.
If I clip all ten toe nails I would say I’ll be able to find 8-9 max! One or two always take off wherever with no chance to be recovered. So i could relate to the strip immediately.
Oh, where is that? As an inspiration in case I decide to emigrate one day. 😄
Package loss due to a broken bus system
I got the chance to drive the Ioniq 6 and from my perspective it’s a great car and feels significantly safer to drive than a Tesla Model 3. It has physical buttons for many important features and an additional set of touch buttons. It has a screen behind the steering wheel + optionally a head up display. I never had a case of phantom breaking in around 10,000 kilometeres, while I had two in a 100 kilometres test drive with a model 3. And it is really efficient. I drive it at around 13 kWh / 100 km (slightly less than 5 miles per kWh) and it has around 550 km (340 miles) of range. In terms of software it has support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay which I personally prefer over the closed app store that is provided by Tesla. I can basically use any app that I want to stream music or navigation.
The only really downside for me is the size. I would have preferred a much smaller car but unfortunately all the smaller ones I checked out (Volvo EX 30, Smart #1, Renault Megane E-Tech) had poor efficiency in comparison. In comparison to the model 3 the size is only slightly larger.
In the meantime as Musk went full lunatic, I anyhow would no longer consider a Tesla. So I would say if you’re looking for an EV of that type, I’d give it a try, also if you don’t love the design at first sight. As you usually sit inside the car rather than in front of it, that anyhow shouldn’t be too important I guess. :)
Maybe I phrased it in a confusing way. Coffee does not smell like dog poop to me. It’s just exactly as disgusting. Can’t really compare it to anything else but it’s a very intense smell that I just can’t stand. I noticed that microwaving chocolate milk can lead to a similar smell but by far not as bad as coffee.
It’s not roasted stuff in general that I despise and also not related to milk.
The smell of coffee. I don’t know what’s wrong with me (or alternatively the vast majority of people) but it smells as disgusting to me as a steaming pile of dog poop. I learned to ignore it to some extend but I still hate it in all its variations: The powder, freshly roasted beans, freshly brewed coffee, cold coffee, coffee breath, …
I also don’t get the hype around Paris. It’s not super ugly but also nothing special.
I don’t live too far from it, could easily go there for a week-end or even day trip. Still only been there twice and have no plans to go there again. In many spots it’s very crowded and dirty and the attractions aren’t better than in any other major city.
I think all we need is a clear communication and strategy. We still have politicians that want to prolong the production of ICE cars and/or large scale use e-fuels. If we had these decisions way ealier, it would have been better, sure but every additional year that goes by will worsen the effects on economy.
Sorry I was out on a hike since I posted the challenge in the morning. And yes, you were meant to find the “nut” and you did a perfect job in doing so. It is indeed a Eurasian Nuthatch! 🎉
I didn’t want to make it too easy, so I explicitly chose a picture with not only the bird itself but also some seeds as a red herring. ;)
They look like a quote rather than a spoiler.
Thanks, should have researched myself before creating yet another post for it.
This is how it looks on my end with Boost:

This is a spoiler in my comment.
Depends on what the tariffs are about. If there’s a tariff on a specific category of finished consumer goods, an import of the materials/ parts in combination with a local assembly might indeed reduce or avoid the taxes you have to pay.
