2·1 year agoThe canary is triggered through inaction, not action. The government would have to compel the target of the subpoena to keep updating the canary on schedule.

Also, on Firefox with a narrower window (innerWidth of 1200ish), the leftmost and rightmost columns are cut off around their halfway points. I can horizontal scroll to see the full rightmost column, but not the leftmost. Any way that you could make the cards flow to naturally fit the browser window, instead of being in a hard grid? A similar thing happens on Firefox mobile, but with only 2 columns instead of 5.
Seems like it’s still including the small instances? For example, lemmy.megumin.org is on there, even though it only has 6 users.
The image is still accessible on their server through that link, so it looks like purging the post doesn’t get rid of the image.
F/d is my favorite, though any older male/younger female pairing is good too. F/d just feels the most taboo to me.

I don’t think they’re necessarily becoming any more prone to it, just that it’s a natural tendency and the internet has gradually been sanitized over time. In parallel with that, we’ve got a lot more normies on the internet now than in the wild west days.
I think it makes sense to have a place with just verified stuff, even if it’s low-activity. You could always create a separate community (incest_porn?) for the fake stuff.
