I am sorry but I am not good with legaleese. From what I got - they are considering change of words and delayed decision making - political equivalent of doing nothing and trying to record the response, hoping people somehow reach a consensus on their own. Or did I get it wrong. Right now it is neither a uplifting or non uplifting news (not saying as a mod but a reader of news).
if you want to read my thoughts, please check

Sorry for not being present last few chapters, I have started to work and hence have been busy.
I kinda like the chapter. A lot goes wrong, but it has a few good notes too.
I kinda felt sad that Ida died right in front of harald, that is something I have thought of, and feared. But thinking more about, Harald atleast got to be with her in last moments, when they were both happy. It is definitely bittersweet. I definitely feel bad for loki as he could not be with his mother.
This has brought another thouught in my mind which i will go oveer later.
from other spoilers I had known that harald got the 2nd seal, and shanks ducked out. but i did not know that harald met imu (fuck imu). Kinda crazy that he was not surprised eenough (i hope the actual chapter shows more surprise). When he felt the power, he shoulld have known there was something wrong. when he got 1st seal, it was fine, a lot organisations have some kind of solidarity mark. eventhough he may or may not have known about seals and such, he should know that he should not get power from tattoos, there is something wrong.
I kinda guessed the thing that harald had messed up (according to sommers) was that he refused to turn elbaph into a military. I am happy that harald is trying to resist it.
A lot of people on reddit comments are hating on harald, comparing him to oden. I did not feel this bad for oden, but i do for harald. he knew nothing of wg and such, he basically hoped it is a “real word UN (as in united nations)” equivalent, that you once get to, you are recognised as real people - you can trade with them, visit, travel etc. And he was successful in that. Elbaph remained peaceful. they could not connect with other nations much, but remained independent and the next generation was more peace loving. In one piece terms - he got his treasure (he could never see it happen fully, only partially while he was alive). This kinda led me to thinking - the thing that D people die with smiles - it is not just a D thing, it is more of general thing I think - If you were successful in achieving what you strived for - you die happy. this does not mean your life was perfect or no downs, but more generally. for example, king neferetari - he saw his people riot and on brink of full civil war, but it defused, he saw his people gain peace back, and as a king, that is what he wanted - his people happy. hence when he died - he died with a smile. When rocks died, he could not do what he wanted - he wanted to rule, he wanted to partner with harlad and get legendary fruits - he could not. He wanted his kin to be happy - he either has to kill them (those who got reversi’d), or thought he killed them (his wife and son). he did not die with a smile. if my theory is true, I would love to see harald die with a smile. Not that I want him to die, but since we know that he died - at least die with peace. he got elbaph peaceful.
If I have not said already - fuck imu.
Now i just hope loki knew what had happened to harald. he has seen way too many hardships, lost his mother, now his father, and he was sentenced for that - hope he ends up being free now. I do not see him joining anyone else but SH fleet. be it either as a member, or by extended fleet alongside hajrudin. there are many theories that he may join BB because BB is rocks and rocks wanted harald, but no BB is a POS and no where near the legend that rocks was.
next chapter (or next to next) whenever loki “liberates” haralds would be peak. I can expect harald was reversi’d too.
i use lineage os (without gapps or microg). I still have whatsapp. I feel you buddy.
no need to buddy. as i said, comments are clean, so there is no point to.
as i said i do not have any issue with subject matter or meme. problem is that we have a rule “We are not YPTB”. so anything which is too community or moderation specific is not allowed (it is just so shit flinging between comms or instances does not happen).
I just pointed it out. my general moderation style is to almost never delete unless blatant rules violation, and hence i asked if i am missing something.
I am still not removing because comments seem shit free, so there is no need to do anything.
I hope I have been able to explain my side.

i am not a web dev, so please correct me if i am wrong, but a runtime is essentially a specific version of browser in some capacity, more comparable to blink in some sense (minus the html+css parts). so there is a js engine (v8 or firefox’s spider if i am not wrong) and that essentially just executes the js, but it needs stuff around it (think for example io or cli interface). none of the run times implement independent js engines, as they are really hard, but surrounding stuff is relatively easier, and likes of deno/node/bun implement that.
And as other commenter said - it has other stuff too, for example a package manager, transpiler (most common would be converting typescript to js i think), bundler (just makes a bundle kinda like java jar), etc.
Pardon me matey, but I am not sure if this post fits. This seems to be complaining what should or should not be posted in art share community (and i am not commenting on the subject matter here - I agree with your reasoning in disclaimer), but it is not a meme. it is specific to art share community. I an not removing it just yet, possibly because there is some meme that I do not understand, so if there is, please reply.

It is really neat. I may have to redo all my shell scripts now

that is like asking someone to write x86 to arm instructions (i gave a instruction set related example to someone else, so was in the mood, no other reason to pick architectures)

my guess is mostly lack of arrays in posix shell. there are other things as well, but arrays are really useful, especially when they are making other things easier to write. A stupid comparison i can think of is a compiled language targettng x86-64v2 or 3 instead of v1 because it has avx (i am not actually sure when avx was added, but imagine some instruction being added). without avx, your binary would be slower (in posix, for arrays, you essentially need to maintain a string and use awk/sed/cut to get particular elements, and many things would just not be possible). If they would target v1 (posix), it will run in more places, but it would be slower for a lot of people who have v2 or newer. And a lot of people have v2 or newer (bash).

to some extents - sunk cause fallacy and performance.
I had a launcher script which required it’s run to complete under 50 ms to be usable. python just did not make the cut (it would call external stuff and more). I know i should not expect performancce from shell scripts, but started from essentially a find of about 20-30 files and a cat of at most 100 lines. It was fast enough then. then I kept adding stuff, it kept slowing down. I thought of converting to python, even did some initial bits, performance was not good.
beyond a certain point, i kinda stopped caring optimising (i replaced bash with dash, made mos tif not all calls to external tools a minimum, and tried to minimise slow calls(think calling some tool again and again vs a vectorised operation, or not reading a variable multiple times in memory )). At some point it reached 300-400ms, and i decided to split it into 2 things - a executor part which cahes output of some commands with certain run conditions, and a launcher part which just read the output file (now almost a 1 miB).
At some point i decided learning rust, and first thing i wrote was that launcher. implemented caching and run conditions better, moved larger files (now it read multiple megabytes(15+)) to /tmp dir, which is mounted in memory, and tried to minimise variable calls. now it lists 10 times more files, in less than a third or fifth of the time.
tl;dr - a stupid person did not shift to a compiled program for a long time and kept optimising a shell script

I checked the wiki page, and apparently all of einstein’s work should be puclic domain now. I think most of his papers already were open access or readily available, but now they should be public domain as well.

as top comment has already mentioned - try wikis. think arch wiki or gentoo. you dont have to use those distros to know about linux, just read them. and even better, spin up virtual machine, and install arch/gentoo there. since you already use bazzite, you don’t have to redo stuff already done (like playing game or something), so you use the sandbox playground to just learn. if it breaks, redo, or make checkpoints.

I am actually surprised why it is not already there? Please correct me if I am wrong, but is not totp like easier to implement than the other oauths listed? (iirc, it has something to with current seconds since epoch, some integer divide by 30 (or 60) and a cipher, and that is part of pair or something)
I tried to lookup, and found https://pyauth.github.io/pyotp/. I do not know what is piefed’s policy on using readymade libraries (i know they are really lean on stack, but if i am not wrong, this library would be really light, and will likely just need a database to store the key (likely the passwords db)
here is the src code for above lib - https://github.com/pyauth/pyotp
A nice article. I need to read more about it, but I will likely use it. My guess on the performance is that there is not going to be any major performance drawback, but since it is runtime, I can not say for sure.

Sadly, currently the situation is very bad. I was a searxng user till maybe last month, and now you basically can not use it. google returns nothing, ddg rate limits shortly, brave does same, bing and yahoo return random gibberish. startpage, leta and many other frontends return errors.
really great chapter.
I love that harald was the one that made the school.
here is tcb link (they are a bit better with translations) - https://tcbonepiecechapters.com/chapters/7921/one-piece-chapter-1167
This is the general cult design right? trying to maintain the secracy and such, it is way more common
