I use LACT. It’s very easy to use and works well.

That thread is several months old, and is specifically about integrating Arkenfox settings changes. I wouldn’t say Librewolf has ceased development based on the fact that their default settings differ from Arkenfox. Their Codeberg site shows ongoing work.
I don’t consider myself to be any type of greedy, but that’s how I ran my business. At least 97% of my clients were regulars, and almost all were recommended by a neighbor or coworker. I did very little advertising, but was busy 12-16 hours a day, every day.
And the ability to switch browser engines on the fly. That was a great feature.
You don’t have to read everything posted over the entire history of the forum. Old threads are kept so that when you need information they contain, you can find them with search, not with the expectation that new people are going to read all of them before posting.
Personally, I would be irritated to be signed up for an instance I didn’t choose and may not be what I like, especially if the app hid the fact that I had a choice.
Ohh, now I get it.
I’m not so sure that it is an edge case. I’m just an average person. I’m sure there are many people who have reason to receive and/or save much larger volumes of email than I do. Regardless, it’s always better to have software that works well under a wide range of circumstances.
What I’m thinking about is more that in Linux, it’s common to access URLs directly from the terminal for various purposes, instead of using a browser.
The p2p aspect is what interests me, though.
My brother joined Homeland Security even though he didn’t believe in a lot of what they do, so he could afford to start a family and take care of them. Wonder what he’s up to these days.
I thought Mojeek used its own engine, and I know Yacy does.
Dnscrypt-proxy lets you select dns servers based on whether they filter traffic, keep logs, use DNSSEC, etc. You can also block specific providers, such as Google or Cloudflare.
I’m happy to know this. I hope it becomes commonly available, for the birds’ sake.
I felt weird about it when my dad used this 23andMe service. He was very privacy-conscious, so it was uncharacteristic for him. Now he’s dead. I wonder if there’s still any way to get it deleted.
Librewolf updates follow FF updates pretty quickly. Arkenfox settings haven’t changed much in a long time, so I don’t see that as an issue, personally.
Such poetry.
I used Exodus for years because so many people recommend them. Then I read their privacy policy and realized they collect info on your transactions for advertising purposes. If I had realized that, I never would’ve used them tbh. I liked the look and features, but spying on me is 100% the opposite of what I want in a crypto wallet. I swapped all of my Bitcoin and Doge to Monero and switched to the Feather wallet. So far, I’m liking it. Not as slick-looking, but lots of features, and private.
So if you try to access a website using this technology via terminal, what happens? The connection fails?
Llamacpp, Koboldcpp, and TabbyAPI are also popular local backends for local AI. SillyTavern or RisuAi are good frontends for a chat/RP style experience. Or LM Studio for a simple, all in one solution.
