“Caused” was not a good term but like i said i made that comment half jokingly

I find that almost everything can be boiled down to just be a display of quantum mechanics which is why id place it as more fundamental.

I cant really say that about gravity/spacetime though. Maybe someday we do find that it also is but for now it seems to be distinct.

Thanks for a well written reply.

Though i still dont quite get this

the electromagnetic force itself doesn’t “arise” from quantum mechanics, and you can explain things like electromagnets and a lot of common electric circuits (until you need a transistor) quite well without considering quantum mechanics.

You seem to say if we can explain x without y then y cannot be fundamental to x.

But can electromagnetism at all emerge if the quantum mechanics dont exist to emerge things like magnetism and some of the behavior of electrons?

Maybe i am wording it wrong. I did make the comment half joking but my current understanding of how magnetism really works, which my physics teacher was unable to answer has a chapter on wikipedia called Quantum-mechanical origin of magnetism

I have no degrees in this stuff though, i just think about them recreationally.

The carrier particle thing to describe a fundamental force is new to me, and honestly feels very counterintuitive to how i started to understand things.

Gravity is a fundamental force just like electromagnetism (supposedly)

Fundamental means it cannot be explained by being caused by something else.

But then they say gravity is an effect caused by spacetime curvature and electromagnetism is caused by quantum phenomena.

What is the cause for spacetime or quantummechanics? Idk but somehow they don’t make it on the list of fundamental forces.

Classical science, for all the good it did and does, is an unironic joke and if aliens knew about it they’d be laughing at us.

  • Personally speaking, the only person that can teach you about anarchy is yourself.

Look around, see how things work around you, especially constructs like hierarchy, property and rule. You don’t need to be against those constructs but if you hold a healthy critical mindset you will see how everything remains build on the foundation of natural anarchy.

Anarchism (as internalised by me for myself) is not about being anti order or pro chaos but about recognising the inherent freedom of each individual and respecting it for the ancient truth it is.

I have zero knowledge about if this aligns with other thinkers, but my desire for building a better world together where all people can prosper and be free in respect to each other is as strong as i have seen in any other fellow anarchists.

Devs have no say on where the budget flows and the owning corporation doesn’t care about your passion for the project.

Fortnite ranked in billions of dollars, when it looks ass good its time to wrap up to get it shipped. You can patch bugs and balancing later but we need a trailer out asap for preoders.

Also back when graphics where actually good and optimized: gameplay still > graphics

  • Nothing happens = The rich get richer

Economy goes down = The rich get richer

Economy goes up = The rich get richer

Global pandemic = The rich get richer

War = The rich get richer

    Fires/floods destroy neighbourhoods = guess what…

Good thing the people in charge of capitalism are known for their wholesome ethics and seperation of people in power, otherwise we might be worried theyd abuse the above as an Incentive to feed their greed.

  • Based on the headline this is not about blocking ai scrappers but by making them pay to do it.

Based on the discussion below which moved that goalpost the most likely answer is by making it cheaper to scrape “legally” then it costs to mimic millions of individual residential browsers with human users.

I don’t know how many aces cloudflare has up its sleep to detect secret ai but they definitely have the tools to make it pretty costly and difficult. There is also a broadband impact difference between a few capitalist megapigs scrapping secretly versus loads of global basement dwellers and smaller companies scrapping worry free.

  • You would not believe the cosmic timing of how i find myself while reading this.

Id definitly label it sensory unpleasant but i would argue it cannot be compared.

The experience of both is one all humans will experience many times starting from childhood. Its a bad thing but its one you know, The experience is predictable and often the same as other times.

The experience of food is much more diverse and thus unpredictable. We all have experienced eating a “trusted” dish made somewhere else to find ourselves betrayed by “different brand”, “extra ingredient” or “chopped in unusual sizes”

Hyperbole aside (autistic adults may learn to get used to some of those suprises or mask their way trough), the exact sensory experiences are unique to each individual and many autistic people will chase certain stimulation as well as avoid it.

    Some i know are:

Walking barefoot, Roller coasters, Storm chasing, And for me, somewhat ironically, some forms of fine dining.
