It’s time for me to buy DLCs for it. Besides, I’d like to buy their new product in 2025, Rift of the NecroDancer

We’d avoid perfectionism here. Buying a Canadian video game is great. Buying it on GOG is even better

By default, all windows/mac/linux laptops will ask users to set up a password for log-in. This is not sufficient, but much better than password-less unlock
zhenbo_endle@lemmy.cato PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•I tested $200-ish GPUs from Nvidia, AMD, and Intel—but no matter who wins, budget gamers loseEnglish2·15 days agoI have a steam deck an I love it, but I don’t think using it as a laptop is a good idea. Unlocking a steam deck doesn’t need a password (by default), just like Switch, GameBoy or PS Portable. If steam deck is lost, sensitive personal data can be accessed easily. Besides, I’d expect a higher risk of losing a steam deck, as I’d been playing it on various places like metro or train stations.
If you never take your steam deck out of your home, then it sounds sensible to use SD as a laptop

Sorry to hear it. I’m a casual player and the Linux performance worked well for me. If playing CS competitively, the little difference in performance is crucial.
Not sure what kind of multi player game you prefer. Dota 2 and CS have perfect Linux support and it may worth a try
With my experience, different Costco stores have different experience. The closest store to me is small and messy, and SKUs are too limited so I had to go to other supermarkets after checkout. However, another store (10km away) is neat and clean. Although crowded, the checkout process is very smooth.
If the Costco you visited made you disappointed, I’d suggest to refund the membership. We’re paying to shop in Costco, and it’s fair to expect good shopping experience.

I don’t know the cost of Waterfox to send the queries to the search engine providers. I’m afraid that the ad income can’t cover the cost

Thank you so much for your explanation. I think I found the reason.
Lemmy is using the URL as the unique key to determine cross-post or not. When clicking the cross-post button, the shared URL is
https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/d4dbfc4f-d927-4879-9eed-0c8be63f0fc9.webp
However, when I created this post manually, I used the link to the discussion
https://lemmy.world/post/26364778
Now I edited my post with the webp link, and lemmy.ca is considering my post to be crossposted from the feddit.uk post, and also crossposted of !test@lemmy.ca
As the readers of this post can access the original post now, I think there is no need to create a new post.
Thanks again!
If you’re using the website (lemmy.ca), there should be a crosspost icon (two squares)
I see why I was stuck here. I was using https://lemmy.world/post/26364778 and I can’t see the two squares button.
If I go to the cached version, https://lemmy.ca/post/40107104 I can see the crosspost button and it seems to work.
I copied the source code to my post, but it didn’t show the count of comments in feddit.uk
I’d plan to repost it with crosspost, and then delete this post. Is this a good idea?
Thank you
