By that logic we should condemn democracy, because democratic revolutions, like the French one, left us with piles of corpses and collapsed in the end.

As an anarchist I support china and other challengers to US hegemony because it weekens the state I am able to oppose right here at my feet, I also believe anarchist movements alongside other communist movements in the imperial core strengthen socialism abroad by weakening their most critical opponent from within or at least provide aid to those suffering under its inevitable collapse.

    It’s such a no brainer.

Mmm, I feel like I’ve been one to incite anarchists and I won’t deny it. It’s because in my experience organizing where I am; I deal with anarchists all the time. Food Not Bombs and other non profits are hosted by a good chunk of them where I live. I have zero issue working with them or organizing with them.

Now, the part that fucks with me. The only two people I’ve received death-threats from are Anarchists and literal actual tattooed Nazis. The Nazis, I understand, as I incite them and bait them with quotes about my race being worthless for fun. Anarchists? They just get really fucking vile over China or AES. It’s disgusting. There’s no actual nuance or criticism, ever.

Perhaps there is in someone else’s experience. But in mine organizing? None.

I’ve had the opposite experience in my local organising. I’m an ML, but my local “ML” orgs are all socdem libs or ultras who spend more time complaining about China than they do actually organising. Only our local anarchists actually do shit, so even if I disagree with them politically, they at least do something. Plus they’re generally more amicable to China than our supposed “MLs”, not quite on Nakoichi’s level unfortunately, but at least they are pro-poverty alleviation and pro-green energy.

I can get that. Organizing is different in every city for sure. We have our socdem whiner camp who hates any existing socialism and a fuck ton of post-left nerds who are like Trots but instead draft doomerpill essays on local political pages instead of their own newsletters. Of course, there’s never a push-back against any actual right-wing groups or the white shirt goobers carrying swastikas.

Nakoichi seems fine. I agree with them; I’ve done volunteer work with anarchists and they can be great and solidarity is absolutely necessary. For some reason though, them and the post-left nerds are extremely hostile towards A.E.S; as I shown in the post. Common sentiment here, for some reason. You try leveling with some on it and it snaps them right back into the U.S dept programming.

I’ve been hostile in the past; but this was a genuine attempt at discussion with someone, not a bait or incitement. For example, one of them was cracking jokes about “just wait till you accuse us anarchists of doing something actually cool, shitlib” and threatening me.

Why the fuck don’t they do something against the goobers waving swastikas on fucking Broadway instead of threatening other leftists trying to organize?! I’d love to get some people together and make a damn statement but no, gotta make sure the tankies knows his place!

It does feel hopeless sometimes, but I’d rather eat a leadpill at the wall than a pathetic fucking doomerpill.

The fact that you cling to belief in “actually existing socialism” - a system which failed in the 20th century

Most politically grounded ultra. This person has so little exposure to politics outside of radlib memes that they think AES is a political program or ideology!

I don’t get it. It sounds like they are actually mad that somebody has hope for the world and wants them to feel miserable and hopeless about how things are going? Which is weird to me because like, even if I thought the world had no hope (I don’t, but supposing I did) it would be counterproductive to insist to everyone that they should share that belief, not to mention arrogant for me to think I can predict the world’s outcome to such a degree. Morale is a critical part of human behavior, alone or organized.

They quote poverty eradication and rapid development, then whip out a quote claiming the only good thing about AES is that it exists.
