Porto agree loan deal for Arsenal's Vieira

Porto have agreed a deal to bring Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira back to the club on loan. Vieira joined Arsenal from the 30-time Portuguese champions in July 2022 for a fee of around €40million (£34.26m) and is under contract until 2027. The Portugal youth international made 22 Premier League appearances during his debut season but has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular.     If this happens it’s going to be good news for Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly. Gives one or both of them a much more direct route to the first team.

    Vieira is a very talented player. But I don’t know if he’s built right for the physical intensity of the PL.

    In a way it works out for everyone, he needs minutes, also having a young family probably going back home is a good thing
