I enjoy smaller BBQs (5/6 people) but really dislike larger “extended family friend” ones.

You know, the ones where the related host will invite everyone and there neighbour’s cousins cat to sit around in a circle of sweaty plastic chairs, sunburned, all facing each other like some waiting room while we all melt away. Slowly the tinnies get opened faster, noise rises and after like an hour all the decent conversations have all ended, replaced by bad karaoke chorus of kings of leon.

Okay that escalated into PTSD, maybe its a me problem…

That community seems more about communities than boosting specific communities. Maybe I should check out the ‘new community’ communities. Now I’ve written the word ‘communities’ too often and it just looks like nonsense to me!

There was a video of a person with a disposable BBQ on a car seat a few days ago (whilst driving?). Your post made me recall that.

Are you sure it wasn’t a nightmare? I can’t believe anyone would be stupid enough to put a lit bbq in a car

Damnit I can’t find it. Tried everything I can thing of. Think it was a German car with the disposable BBQ on the passenger seat on his RHS. You can guess the rest.

I’m going to drown my sorrows now.

I’ve been bbq-ing since mid January for various events we’ve hosted, but I’d say the first proper British BBQ day was yesterday for where we are.

Now that I’ve invited people over for this proper first-bbq-of-the-year shindig, the sun has decided to go all shy.

I did one yesterday and might do one again tonight.

Edit: it rained. I did not do one tonight. I had burritos.

We had prazonki last weekend, and I did burgers on the grill last night because the kids were after it.

It’s 21 degrees around here, what are you waiting for?

Next weekend is going to be a smoked side of lamb for Easter.

Yep two weeks ago. Was pretty nice weather, all in all.

Saw a family doing it in the park, grill on the grass, not raised or anything.
