I was heading towards my 12 cake day, I think a lot of us who have moved to lemmy remember leaving digg so it might it easier for us.

Cool guys don’t look at failing social media sites, they just turn around and walk away.

I cancelled Nowtv because it added adverts and you have to pay extra for 1080 which is ridiculous.

So I started watching some of their stuff on Beetv… Then I started looking at my other streaming services.

I stopped torrenting because streaming services made it more convenient. It no longer is.

It’s early days for even the oldest lemmy apps, they will all improve vastly and quickly. Enjoy the experience of watching them grow into their own style and function.

exactly what happened but with the addition of some redditors being pissed off that we all jumped onto Reddit.

I’ve got a kbin account and thought about maybe trying other instances but over the last week I feel at home on lemmy.world

It’s been getting hammered over the last couple of days but as long as Ruud sticks with it I think I will too

I would imagine a high proportion of people so easy to leave Reddit found it easy because they remember leaving digg.

Anyone younger than that are just bloody sensible

I would imagine most people planning to head here already have accounts, activity will no doubt go up though.

As the weeks go on though more will find this place and I’m sure there will be more surges to come.

Reminds me of all the cake days a year after the digg exodus.
